The clients were looking for a low maintenance space in which to enjoy some relaxing time in the sun.
The Existing paved areas were too small and shaded. The existing planting had to be tamed while retaining some privacy. The contemporary garden successfully pairs with the traditional building through clever lines and material choices.
Marshalls Sawn versuro slabs match the blonde sandstone of the building but the sawn finish creates the modern look. Marshall Drivesett Argent feature lines break up an otherwise large area of paving and further add to the sense of space desired from the new design. Contemporary style fencing helps to add privacy and conceal the practical areas of the garden.

As I look out on our finished garden I am so relieved we choose his company. The work involved an almost complete rip out of our garden leaving only hedges and trees. While the final result was more or less what had been in the original plans we did have the opportunity to make modest changes as the work evolved and we were able to see what it would look like for real rather than a perfect computer graphic.
The work was completed on time by an excellent team of hard workers who were careful and respectful at all times. The end result has been beyond what we had ever imagined. To my surprise it looks better than the computer graphic. Everyone who has seen the before and after has been impressed or even astonished by the transformation.
Thank you so much Brian, we now have a beautiful garden that we want to spend time in. Whether it’s sunny or not, it’s a lovely space to relax in.
